"Love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with him/her more than any other person, love is trusting him/her enough to tell him/her everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of, love is feeling comfortable and safe with him/her, but still getting weak knees when he/she walk into a room and smile at you."
Happy Anniversary to us for being together for the 4th year!

The Apartment, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara Take 2

Yes! We made a return visit to The Apartment, The Curve last night, not because the staff there being more well-trained, but the vouchers we having in hand =P And, this time, we came along with Elvin's mum.

Passion Cosmo RM21.90 for himself and M.Lodge Red Wine RM23.00 for his mum! Well! Me? I'm just having 2 glass of plain waters!

Yes! Daaa.. Daaaaaa.. A bowl of Mussels with Creme Fraiche & White Wine sauce! It costs RM21.90 but we get it free! Hehe.. Told you, we got vouchers!! Lol.. The breads which come along with the Mussels are fresh and taste pretty good especially when you dig it with the sauce!

Portobello Mushroom RM22.90! It free too!

Lamb Shank RM37.90

Butterflied Lemon Chicken RM25.90

Baked Chocolate Pudding RM15.90 yet we got it free also =P It tastes pretty good =)

After all, we would rank the foods we ate at 5 out of 10. However, it could easily be at 7 out of 10 if they could put more efforts on cooking the foods, and of course quote the foods and drinks cheaper a bit, as the foods and drinks are not up to the stardard where they can quote at a high price as compared to TGI Friday =P

Bangkok, Thailand

Posted by Little-queen at 11:16:00 PM 0 comments
Well, all international flights whether arrivals to / departures from Bangkok, Thailand will be operated at Suvarnabhumi Airport which located in Samut Prakan Province.

When you reach the airport and just before deciding on taking a cab for a trip to your hotel, ask the price first and do few survey with the price offered with few cab driver, and do negotiate the price with the cab driver before you hop on the cab.

If you're going to Bangkok to gain some experiences on backpacking, just head towards to Khao San Road, where most self-respecting backpackers will converge after arriving in the capital. The street is lined with bars which are open 24 hours a day, and you can grab a room here for about 300 Baht (RM32.00) a night for a fanned room. Besides, if u wanna get to know friends (people who travel alone or so), this would be the ideal place, as it is the main backpacker street in Bangkok.

Well, we stayed at Lamphu House for 2 nights (6 May and 7 May 09), which situated in Soi Rambutree Road, just a 5 minutes walk away from Khao San Road, and it is located in a quiet side street, which is an ideal sanctuary for those that aspire a little peace and calmness away from the busy hectic streets of the amazing Bangkok.

By the way, you may just have a walk and grab a free map at any travel agencies around Khao San / Soi Rambutree Road, as some of the tourist places are around there, i.e. Phra Sumen, Royal Grand Palace, etc.

Besides, you may join some day tour packages offered by these travel agencies too, i.e. Damnern Saduak Floating Market Half Day Tour, Ayutthaya Full Day Tour, River Kwai One Day Tour, etc.

We, joined River Kwai One Day Tour (which included elephant riding and bamboo rafting) on 7 May 09 itself and Damnern Saduak Floating Market Half Day Tour on 8 May 09.

For our last night stay (8 May 09), we shifted to HQ Hostel, which ideally located in the middle of Bangkok's city center, within a walking distance to all major attractions, and a super transport network.

9 May 09, our last day in Bangkok and we did our last minute shopping half day (frankly speaking, it wasn't enough for us) today at the Chatuchak Weekend Market where 15,000 stalls selling everything from accessories, clothes, furniture, decorative items, to pets and foods.

And, we spent some time in the city afternoon (just to find the Pratunam Market, but we failed to) before we heading to Suvarnabhumi Airport.

What’s a trip to Bangkok without shop enough? Funny huh? Yet, we enjoy our Bangkok trip! Probably we will be there again just to shop!!

Pan Mee, Jinjang Utara

Posted by Elvin and Little-queen at 11:43:00 PM 1 comments
We been craving for Pan Mee recently! In fact we can have more than three sessions of Pan Mee in a week itself at different places! Lol..

Pan Mee Take 1 - This is one of the places we often come to fulfill out Pan Mee cravings =P
Name: Restaurant Tuaa Mark Pan Mee House
Location: Jinjang Utara, Kepong

Well, the restaurant is located near the Jinjang Utara's pasar area. Therefore, parking is a problem as there are limited lots all along the street, as most of the aunties and uncles have parked their cars along the street for the pasar.

In the restaurant, there probably won't be any place to sit. But don't worry, sharing tables is the norm here. You will be ushered to a table with occupants and will be put in the uncomfortable situation of sitting and facing people you don't know and probably watching them eat. Or else, you may wait for the table for about 30 minutes time or even more.

Once you are comfortably seated, someone will come take your order for the drinks and the Pan Mee. Please note that the Pan Mee here comes in 3 sizes, S, M and L, with 3 types of noodles and with only in soup, no dry.

Next, you will be faced with a long wait for your order - Pan Mee, and the wait is inevitable. And of course, the drinks will be served first. Restaurant Tuaa Mark Pan Mee House do serve nice Tea and Kopi. Their Tea and Kopi do has their special aroma of its own, but with the right degree of bitterness, and it would display a complexity far beyond any one drinks that you drank before.

And, don't forget to try their amazing Samba by squeezing in some Lime Juice. Its just taste good with the Pan Mee =)

Finally, the Pan Mee arrives.. After taking your first bite, you will realise the Pan Mee is absolutely delicious.

The Pan Mee comes with a lovely mushroom aroma and mouth-watering taste, with heaps of ikan bilis, mushroom, pork and vegetables. Moreoever, the noodles do have a very nice texture, not too hard and not too soft. And most important is the soup is perfect indeed!

Is it that delicious? Maybe you shoud try it yourself!

Malacca

Posted by Elvin and Little-queen at 10:45:00 PM 2 comments
So sorry that we've promised to upload some nice pictures of our Malacca trip within one week time, but we failed to do so as we been so busy lately, so so so sorry =P

Here's you go..

Finally.. We reached Malacca after 2 hours drive..

First thing you must do when you reached Malacca - Enjoy the famous Malacca Hainanese Chicken Rice at Chop Chung Wah Restaurant which just opposite OCBC Bank =)

Recommended budget hotel - Mimosa Hotel

2nd must try is the Crispy Po Pia in Malacca, near Mimosa Hotel..

3rd must try - Tau Fu Bakar, Sotong, Si Ham and La La with special chili sauce at hidden small street near Madam King!

And, don't miss the night market of Malacca - Jonkers Walk if you've decided to stay a night over Malacca, it's a famous night spot of Malacca, starting from around 8pm we guess. It's a must to have a look and a walk on the Malacca famous night market, it's long enough to walk and you would find some interesting there.

And, don't miss the Satay Celup of Malacca too =) It's a must too if you are in Malacca!

There were much more happenings when we were in Malacca that we've not blogged over here, The BaBa House, Coconut House, The Nyonya Foods, and lots more =P

Conclusion is it's a must to visit Malacca, as Malacca, the Historical State, and it had inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List =)
